Adhi Noi Tebhag Chai

At the West Bengal State Archives, the exhibition placed Somnath Hore’s Tebhaga Diary alongside surveillance records, contemporary reportage and oral histories. Vinayak’s archival research traced figures in the diary into police files and informed his work as co-curator.

The City as a Museum

Across three successive editions of DAG’s festival, Vinayak developed the curatorial framework and led the coordination and production of a ten-day programme across Kolkata. An inquiry into everyday design expanded into histories of dissent and, in 2025, an itinerant video installation aboard a repurposed bus.

A Weekend in Museums

Vinayak co-conceived and initiated this series bringing museums and cultural institutions together in May. Screenings, conversations and participatory encounters invited visitors to reconsider the experience of moving through a museum.

Intersections

The series brought music, theatre and storytelling into conversation with works of art. The Story of the Sitar took the form of a baithak combining film, discussion and live performance.

Gab-Sur-Kinaar and The Story of the Sitar

Vinayak developed these film-based interventions out of his engagement with raga music. Screenings in performance venues brought the craft of making the tabla and sitar into the same space as live music and conversation.
